This building is located in Utah, was designed by Grathmey Siegel Architects, of New York. This building has 5 storey building with a rectangular bar for administrative use. for reading use has a gallery with shops and cafes. So, I can say that is a very particular building that enhances the potential of urban public space.
I could say that Salt Lake City Library is a unique building, has 2 main entrances. The first gives to the central plaza, which provides a feeling of freedom and relax for people who are there and also a great space for the exchange center, this space is very important because connects the old library with the new library. that is a very good use for this space in transition. the second entrance which faces the main street, has a large wooded gardens.
But upon entering the building reached its spacious rooms, which allow continuing the feeling of peacefulness of the place even though you're inside the building. Despite these large spaces, the movement inside and outside of the building is well defined because the designers made an approach so that users are not lost. Also on the horizontal movement, is well posed in the same way and they are on each floor through brokers.
Finally, I can say that this construction is an example to follow for architects and planners because it not only combines the essence of a building but also relates to the environment, mainly with its plaza and has many uses which gives it a very special dynamic.
